The Way Eye See It...

For those of you that don't know...I am an OPTICIAN!!! I absolutely LOVE what I do. I decided in March of 2012 while giving the gift of sight to the children on National City, California that I wanted to be an optician. I literally made my first pair of glasses and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Fast forward 5 years and I finally got my license. Georgia is a license state. Which means that if you are dispensing glasses and contacts...there must a license on site for the hours you are open. That being said...I have to get continuing education hours. 

Y'all!! I freaking LOVE to learn new stuff. I am such a nerd. I have been adding classes everyday since Wednesday. Now I want to figure out how to go to all the optical conferences and go back to school. 

I have always LOVED learning. The only thing that has been frustrating for me is that I wanted to take certain classes and I wasn't allowed to because I am not a doctor. The crazy thing is...the classes I wanted to add..I already do these things at work. I guess I am having a hard time being told no! 

Today was freaking magical!!!! I overslept. Like woke up when my 1st class was starting. OOPS!!! It is ok because I signed up for a ton of classes. I went into this week with a super positive energy and mindset. When I say mindset is EVERYTHING! I mean it. A positive mindset will change your life!!! Let me show you what I mean.

In the past if I woke up late it would throw off my WHOLE freaking day. It would feel like the Universe was sending all the negative stuff my way. You know...dropping everything I touch, stuck in traffic, maybe trip and fall...that kind of stuff. I didn't let that happen today. I had a super clear head and positive mindset. The Universe started sending me amazing opportunities.

I met some incredible humans. I learned so much when it comes to contact lenses. I won a $100 gift card because I shared a selfie and used a hashtag. If you know me or have followed me long enough...you know I love being social on social media. I love taking photos and sharing my story.

When I walked into the office to claim my prize...I was immediately thanked for participating in the contest. Of course I joked around that I always participate when asked to share a selfie and a hashtag. They asked me to make a story sharing about my prize. I told them I would make a TikTok. They got so excited that I know social media so well that they asked me to teach a class next year. They also asked me to be their social media person next year too!

I don't know if you guys know this...one of my lifetime goals is to be a public speaker. I want to share my story on a big stage with the big lights and inspire people. This is the first major step towards that goal!!! I am so super excited!!!! 

I share this to show that the energy you put out is what the Universe will give back. If you are in a negative space right now...I want you to find 1 positive thing that happened to you today. Then I want you to do it again tomorrow. I want you to look for a second positive that happened to you. Keep going. Watch your life flip to a more positive one.
